Time travel, what a concept! Netflix has released the full Russian Doll Season 2 trailer, proving that time isn’t done messing up Nadia’s life.

In the trailer, Nadia (Natasha Lyonne) boards a mysterious subway car that houses a poster for the film Sophie’s Choice. After surveying her surroundings and seeing people dressed like punks and Warriors, she asks, “What is this, some of ’80s flash mob?” It’s not. The subway is a time travel device that has transported Nadia back to the 1980s.

“I broke time,” Nadia says to Alan in the trailer. Shortly after that, Nadia uncovers a plot that involves a lost stash of gold that once belonged to her family. Now she’ll have to solve the mystery while simultaneously finding a way to get back to her own time. Nadia has become a time prisoner, and she’s going to need help if she hopes to break the vicious cycle.

Russian Doll is executive produced by Lyonne and Leslye Headland. In addition to her starring role, Lyonne also serves as showrunner this season. Joining the time travel shenanigans this season are Sharlto Copley (District 9), Annie Murphy (Schitt’s Creek), and Carolyn Michelle Smith (Colony). Charlie Barnett reprises his role as Alan Zaveri.
