CBS has renewed their entire NCIS franchise of shows. It has been announced that NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, and NCIS: Hawaii, will all be coming back next season, per The Hollywood Reporter.

This marks the 20th season for NCIS, which had to deal with the departure of lead Mark Harmon this season. The main cast now consists of Sean Murray, Wilmer Valderrama, Brian Dietzen, Diona Reasonover, and Katrina Law, with David McCallum, Rocky Carroll, and Gary Cole. The show remains the most-watched entertainment series on broadcast TV. It’s drawing 11.11 million viewers per episode this season, according to the most current Nielsen averages.

NCIS: Los Angeles will be heading into its 14th season and it stars Chris O’Donnell, LL Cool J, Linda Hunt, Daniela Ruah, Eric Christian Olsen, Medalion Rahimi, Caleb Castille, and Gerald McRaney. NCIS: Los Angeles is averaging 7.27 million viewers and is the most-watched scripted program in its time period Sunday at 10:00 PM. Season to date, it has amassed over 6 billion social media impressions. The show’s 300th episode will air Sunday, May 8, 2022.

NCIS: Hawaii is heading into season 2 and it stars Vanessa Lachey, Alex Tarrant, Noah Mills, Yasmine Al-Bustami, Jason Antoon, Tori Anderson, and Kian Talan. The series features the brand’s first female lead (Vanessa Lachey) and it is averaging 8.29 million viewers, putting it neck and neck with CBS’ FBI: International for the most-watched rookie drama this season.

By the end of this season, the franchise will have aired more than 900 episodes (including NCIS: New Orleans, which wrapped a seven-season run last year). A localized version of the show set in Sydney, Australia, is set to premiere in 2023.
