The Other Me trailer: David Lynch-produced thriller coming this weekend

Gravitas Ventures will be releasing director Giga Agladze’s thriller The Other Me on all digital platforms in North America this Friday, February 4th – so if you like what you see in the trailer embedded above, you only have to wait until tomorrow to watch the full film! The Other Me looks quite interesting, and interest in this one is boosted even further when you take into account that it was executive produced by David Lynch.

The short and simple synopsis for The Other Me goes like this:

An architect is diagnosed with a rare eye disease, entering him into a surreal reality in which he sees people’s true motives. As the visions become intolerable, he falls for a mysterious woman and confronts the truth about his own identity.

If you want some more information, here’s a longer synopsis:

Irakli is an aspiring architect thrown into turmoil when diagnosed with a debilitating eye disease. As his condition worsens, a surreal visual world opens up to him causing him to question his life’s choices, his career, and his marriage to an increasingly frustrated Nutsa who struggles with her loyalties to her husband and the realities of daily survival.

As the visions become more intense, he falls for a mysterious woman Nino, a beautiful artist who lives alone. She becomes his artistic muse and they form a deep connection that turns from fascination to infatuation to love. They learn to speak in poetic language and understand each other completely, which helps Irakli confront the truth about his own identity.

The films stars Jim Sturgess (Across the Universe), Antonia Campbell-Hughes (3096 Days), and Andreja Pejic (The Girl in the Spider’s Web).

Giga Agladze previously directed the 2009 Georgian film Gogona Slaididan.
