Director Adam Reider‘s (of Spectropia Pictures) Woodland Grey, a horror film that Arrow in the Head founder John Fallon was a Producer on (he was also the stunt choreographer) is set to have its world premiere at the Blood in the Snow festival on Monday, November 22nd – and in anticipation, we’re proud to share an EXCLUSIVE clip from the film! You can check it out in the embed above.
Written by Reider and Jesse Toufexis, Woodland Grey stars Jenny Raven, Ryan Blakely, and Art Hindle. The film has the following synopsis:
A man living alone in the deep woods finds Emily, a hiker, unconscious and laying on the forest floor. He brings her back to his home and helps her get back to health so she can leave the forest and get home. After a few tense days coexisting, Emily makes a discovery. She finds a crudely built shed behind the man’s home. When she opens it, she unleashes something truly haunting. As Emily and the man come to terms with what has been released, they also attempt to find a way out of the forest which isn’t exactly what it seems.
Here are the details on the Blood in the Snow premiere:
Monday Nov 22 at 8PM
The Royal Cinema – 608 College Street – Toronto, Ontario
Film screening followed by a live Q&A
Woodland Grey will also be screening at the Another Hole In The Head festival in San Francisco this December, and at the Le Festival du Film du Fantasme in Paris next June.
Warped Perspective has described Woodland Grey as “disconcerting, smart and creepy”, and said it’s “a largely low-key, reality-disrupting film which draws you into its strange world.” The Montreal Independent Film Festival gave Reider an “Honourable Mention” for Best Canadian Director.
