Johnny & Clyde: Megan Fox previews ‘devil’s daughter’ character

When director Tom DeNucci’s film Johnny & Clyde was first announced as a “Bonnie and Clyde update” crime thriller, I didn’t pay much attention to it. But then DeNucci and co-writer Nick Principe revealed that the heist movie reaches a point where it shifts into “balls-to-the-wall slasher/horror” mode and unleashes a masked supernatural slasher on its characters, and now I’m all-in on this one. The slasher is apparently set loose by a character played by Megan Fox, a character DeNucci and Principe described as a “messed up, very dark, twisted version” of a Disney princess. Now Fox has taken to her Instagram account to share an image of herself as this character, and she described her as “the devil’s daughter”.

Currently in production, Johnny & Clyde follows

the two eponymous serial killers who are madly in love and on an endless crime spree. They have their sights set on robbing a prosperous casino run by crime boss Alana (Megan Fox) and her head of security (Tyson Ritter).

The names of the actors playing Johnny and Clyde have not yet been announced, but that information should be coming soon. We do know that Fox and Ritter are joined in the cast by Robert LaSardo, Sean Ringgold, Armen Garo, and Principe himself. Best known for playing the slasher ChromeSkull in the Laid to Rest movies, Principe takes on the role of a foster family member called Butcher, and is also playing the masked slasher.

Johnny & Clyde is being produced by Chad A. Verdi, Michelle Verdi, Chad A. Verdi Jr, Paul Luba, and Nick Koskoff. Andre Relis, David Gere, J.D. Beaufils, Jessica Bennett, Mickey Guerin, Anthony Gudas, and Chelsea Vale serve as executive producers. Amy Lippens and Ali Cesare are co-producers.
