The addition of Radu from the Subspecies franchise to the video game Horror Legends (read all about that HERE) isn’t the only collaboration we’ll see from October Games and Full Moon Features. The game company is also working on a multiplayer PC video game based on Full Moon’s popular Puppet Master series. Full Moon describes the Puppet Master game as “the ultimate Full Moon game” – and best of all, they say it will be free to play! It’s expected to be released sometime in 2022.

In the Puppet Master game,

you’ll be able to play as your fave PUPPET MASTER character while revisiting iconic locations such as the Bodega Bay Inn.

A trailer for the game is embedded above, and this looks very cool to me. Puppets fighting Nazis and Totems in the Bodega Bay Inn should be the makings of a fun time. I have been a fan of the Puppet Master movies since I was a kid (when I forgot the title of Stuart Gordon’s Dolls and rented Puppet Master II thinking it was a sequel to that), so I’m definitely going to be playing this game next year.

The first Puppet Master film was released in 1989 and has been followed by a whole lot of sequels, prequels, and spin-offs. The proper Full Moon series consists of Puppet Master, Puppet Master II, Puppet Master III: Toulon’s Revenge, Puppet Master 4, Puppet Master 5: The Final Chapter, Curse of the Puppet Master, Retro Puppet Master, Puppet Master: The Legacy, Puppet Master: Axis of Evil, Puppet Master X: Axis Rising, Puppet Master: Axis Termination, and Blade: The Iron Cross.

Full Moon also loaned the Puppet Master rights to Fangoria for the reboot Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich, and to the Sci-Fi Channel for the crossover film Puppet Master vs. Demonic Toys.

A new Puppet Master spin-off, titled Doktor Death, is expected to be released by Full Moon sometime before the end of 2021.
