Jessica Jones: Krysten Ritter is dying to play the Marvel hero again

Jessica Jones Krysten Ritter

Before Disney+ launched a new era of Marvel shows, the franchise was best represented by the shows on Netflix, such as Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Punisher, and Jessica Jones. However, in the span of just a year, all of those shows were cancelled. Jessica Jones starring Krysten Ritter wound up being the last hero standing with the final season launching in June 2019.

Since the cancellation of the Netflix shows, there have been rumblings that the characters could join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Most recently, we’ve seen rumours that Charlie Cox might just reprise his Daredevil role for Spider-Man: No Way Home. It’s clear that fans would love to see these characters again, and the actors are no exception. While speaking with ScreenRant, Krysten Ritter revealed just how badly she wants to step into Jessica Jones’ boot once again.

I would absolutely just die to play Jessica again. I had the best time doing it and I just love her so much. I’m so proud of that character. Not only because it was like a great role and she’s such a bad-ass, but that character has really resonated with people in a way that I don’t know who else has. Really, really resonated with women and girls, trauma survivors. It’s just so, so big and such a thing I’m so grateful to have been a part of. So if there’s ever an opportunity for me to put on those boots, I will be there in a flash.

With the rights to these characters back in the hands of Marvel Studios, it will only be a matter of time before we see them again. The question is, who will be playing them? Would you like to see Krysten Ritter reprise her role of Jessica Jones in a new MCU movie or TV show?
