Fandango has posted their 2021 Fall Movie Preview, and in their look ahead at this fall’s releases, they included some interesting images from several upcoming genre films, including Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Halloween Kills, Antlers, Last Night in Soho, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, and Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City. Scroll down to see them!

First we have Tom Hardy, Venom, and a chicken hanging out together in an image from director Andy Serkis’s Venom: Let There Be Carnage, which is set to reach theatres on October 1st.

In this sequel to the hit 2018 Marvel Comics adaptation Venom, Tom Hardy returns as journalist Eddie Brock, who is bonded to a sentient alien parasite, while Michelle Williams is also back as his ex-fiancee. Woody Harrelson co-stars as serial killer Cletus Kasady, who becomes host to another parasite that turns him into the villain Carnage, with Naomie Harris joining as his love interest. For those counting, that’s four Oscar nominees!

Next we have Michael Myers recreating a moment from the original Halloween in director David Gordon Green’s Halloween Kills, which is scheduled for an October 15th theatrical release.

Michael Myers is still undefeated, despite every effort made by the three generations of Strode/Nelson women (Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer and Andi Matichak) at the end of the 2018 Halloween. But they’re going strong as well, and are back to try again in the latest sequel. Joining them are some old franchise players, including Kyle Richards and Nancy Stephens, reprising their respective roles from the 1978 original.

Moving on to October 29th, we get an image from Antlers, directed by Scott Cooper and produced by Guillermo del Toro. Based on Nick Antosca’s short story The Quiet Boy.

In an isolated Oregon town, a middle-school teacher (Keri Russell) and her sheriff brother (Jesse Plemons) become embroiled with her enigmatic student (Jeremy T. Thomas) whose dark secrets lead to terrifying encounters with a legendary ancestral creature who came before them.

October 29th is also the release date for Edgar Wright’s “straight-up psychological thriller” Last Night in Soho.

Eloise (Thomasin Harcourt McKenzie), an aspiring fashion designer, is mysteriously able to enter the 1960s where she encounters a dazzling wannabe singer, Sandie (Anya Taylor-Joy). But the glamour is not all it appears to be and the dreams of the past start to crack and splinter into something far darker.

On November 19th we’ll be getting the long-awaited release of Ghostbusters: Afterlife, director Jason Reitman’s sequel to his father Ivan Reitman’s films Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II – complete with Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Signourney Weaver, and Annie Potts reprising their roles from the earlier films.

Single mom Callie (Carrie Coon) and her two kids, Trevor and Phoebe (Finn Wolfhard and Mckenna Grace), move into a beaten-down farmhouse in Oklahoma only to discover that there’s something strange in the neighborhood. Unexplained quakes shake the town. There’s an old mine nearby that bears the name of Ivo Shandor, who built the Manhattan high-rise in the 1984 film that channeled the forces of evil.

And on November 24th we have writer/director Johannes Roberts’ reboot of the Resident Evil film franchise, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City. IGN shared the first images from the film just last week, and now Fandango has given us another look at the characters Chris Redfield (Robbie Amell), Brad Vickers (Nathan Dales), Jill Valentine (Hannah John-Kamen), and Albert Wesker (Tom Hopper).

Once the booming home of pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation, Raccoon City is now a dying Midwestern town. The company’s exodus left the city a wasteland… with great evil brewing below the surface. When that evil is unleashed, the townspeople are forever… changed… and a small group of survivors must work together to uncover the truth behind Umbrella and make it through the night.

I want to see all of these movies, so it looks like we’re in for a fun fall.
