Nope: Jordan Peele announces title of new film, unveils poster art

We've been watching the latest horror film from Get Out (watch it HERE) and Us (watch that one HERE) writer/director Jordan Peele gradually come together over the last year or so. Peele's Get Out star Daniel Kaluuya was the first to join the cast, and has been followed by Keke Palmer (Scream Queens) and Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead). We've known for a while that the film is aiming for a July 22, 2022 theatrical release. But until now, we never knew the title. This morning, Peele took to his Twitter account to share some poster art for his latest project, revealing the title in the process: his third film is titled Nope.

The poster for Nope can be seen below, and it doesn't give anything away about the film's plot. Details on the story Peele is telling this time are being kept under wraps, but it has been said that the film will 

follow in the same vein as his past two directorial efforts, terrifying and subversive tales full of socially-conscious thematics in regards to race and society.

In addition to Get Out, Us, and Nope, Peele contributed to the horror genre by executive producing Lovecraft Country and the recent revival of The Twilight Zone. He produced and co-wrote the upcoming Candyman reboot, which was directed by Nia DaCosta, and is also set to produce a remake of Wes Craven's The People Under the Stairs.

With the release of Nope now exactly one year away, hopefully it won't be long before we find out more information on the project. We'll keep you updated as more is revealed.

It was reported at the start of the year that Jesse Plemons (I'm Thinking of Ending Things) had been offered a role in Nope, but it doesn't look like he was able to accept the offer.
