Big surprise, 1408 has done moderately well at the box office and now Hollywood is running to option off another Stephen King book to be adapted. As I’m sure it’s as much of a surprise to you as it is to me, the newest King book to get the silver screen treatment will be INSOMNIA. As of right now it appears that WRONG TURN director Rob Schmidt will be getting the nod by the studio to helm the film.
The plot of INSOMNIA revolves around the protagonist named Ralph Roberts, who is continually having problems getting a little bit of “shut-eye.” And his problems are doubled when he starts having visions of the town Derry, Maine, and he can’t figure out why the visions are occurring.
Keep checking back here for casting tidbits, as I’m sure the studio will get another “big name” to headline this one.
