World War Z writer set!

How’s this for a premise: 10 years after the undead have taken over the world a journalist presents a chronicle of the deadly events by gathering interviews from the survivors. Pretty cool, right? Well Brad Pitt agrees, which is why his production company has decided to make the book from which this premise is lifted into a movie. The book is titled WORLD WAR Z, and it was written by Max Brooks.

Today it was confirmed by Brooks himself that BABYLON 5 creator J. Michael Straczynski will indeed be adapting his novel. There is no timetable yet for the release of this film but Brooks had this to say about the news: “The script is almost done and will be going out to directors.”
