Piranha swimming faster!

The word on the cyber street is that the remake of the cult-classic PIRANHA is moving faster than originally expected. The studio has apparently sped up the production date on the film because of a looming strike with the Writer’s Guild of America (WGA), and wants to exercise options prior to the WGA strike. This all coordinates with Alexandre Aja’s recent completion of his next film MIRRORS, which means the gory filmmaker can start on PIRANHA .

PIRANHA follows a tremor that causes Arizona’s Lake Havasu floor to open, setting free scores of prehistoric piranhas, who inevitably take bites out of poor unsuspecting teens!
