So I’ve been keeping up to date with Rob Cohen’s blog for THE MUMMY: TOMB OF THE DRAGON EMPEROR for quite sometime, and to my surprise, Mr. Cohen has been pretty good about letting us know the happenings on set and off set.
Well today, Rob Cohen has delighted us with a new blog, ecstatic about the presence of Jet-Li finally on set and a few interesting tidbits about creatures, fight scenes and vfx in the film.
I’m stoked by what’s ahead, editing with Joel Negron and Kelly Matsumoto as I go and encouraged by the early shape of things are taking. We are putting the pipelines in place to create the some 700 visual effects shots: the Terracotta Army, the Yeti and much, much more (I have to leave some surprises.)
It also gives us a first look at Maria Bello and Brendan Frasier in full MUMMY get up. Bello (above) looks like a major babe, and Frasier is badass as always (though he does resemble Leon from RESIDENT EVIL 4). There will never be another Evie then Rachel Weisz for me, but I can settle for now. Click here to read the blog and see the rest of the pictures.
