C.H.U.D. remake update, sort of

So couple of days ago I directed everyone to an article over at Dread Central confirming the speculation that Rob Zombie would be directing the remake to C.H.U.D. or CANNIBALISTIC HUMANOID UNDERGROUND DWELLERS. The word of this came from Zombie’s mouth, which sent a shock wave of disappointment, at least through my heart.

Well it seems like some one is pulling a John Kerry Flip Flop because Rob Zombie’s management has beaten down the rumor and word of Zombie himself to Shock Till You Drop. So is Zombie directing it or not? What the hell is going on? Oh I know…it’s called industry B.S.

If Zombie doesn’t direct C.H.U.D., good, one less terrible remake to waste money on and he can focus on things he’s actually good at, like making music. Like everyone else covering the story, until an official word is released by a someone producing the film, this story is dead to me, like the hopes and dreams of a GHOSTBUSTERS 3 and a triple breasted mutant from TOTAL RECALL.
