Tara Cardinal and Devanny Pinn step into the ring for a Dog Fight

The idea of an elite group of hard core women cage-fighters is one of awesomeness. Seriously, can you imagine anything better than MAD MAX BEYOND THUNDERDOME and CAGED HEAT joining forces for one epic movie? Apparently we’re not the only ones who would be into this type of schlock cinema as it looks like the writing team of DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK had the same idea!

DOG FIGHT is the movie we’ve been waiting for. I can’t even describe it’s epicness so I’ll let the film do all the talking. Check it out: DOG FIGHT is an ensemble cast driven horror film which also combines elements of action, crime drama, and torture films into a single package in a storyline revolving around an underground fighting ring whose competitors are made up of women who have been kidnapped and “broken” – essentially being turned into rabid dogs psychologically.

This may be the ultimate guys fantasy but I suppose we’ll have to wait and see if Jen Soska and Sylvia Soska (DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK writing duo / twin sisters) knows how to bring the exploitation. Scream queens Tara Cardinal (above) and Devanny Pinn are on board not only to star in the flick but to acting as producers on it as well. Yup folks, this puppy just went from “sweet” to “awesome”!

Along with Cardinal and Pinn, DOG FIGHT is set to star Brandon Slagle, Elske McCain, Shannon Lark, Rachel Grubb, Deneen Melody, Tara Alexis, Bill Oberst Jr., Jose Rosete, Elisabeth Fies, Julia Boyd, Keith Kraft, Tawny Amber Young, and Barry Ratcliffe. Phew! Now say that three times fast!

Filming is set to begin in the Los Angeles area next month with a Spring 2011 release date in mind. Keep it here for more DOG FIGHT action as we hear it!
