It’s been months (March actually) since we received any word on AMHURST. After the debut of the trailer and poster of the flick nothing else was really said. The horror/thriller flick AMHURST has been sitting around someone’s desk collecting dust for about two years. Now it’s come to our attention that the film will finally fill up North American DVD shelves.
If you’re not too familiar with the name check out the synopsis: Reeling from a marriage on the brink, Rebecca Cabot (Amy Tiehel), along with her two young children, Alex (Alec Hogan) and Jessie (Stephanie Hullar), travel back to her childhood home where she will confront the horrors of her young life and the fifteen year old mystery of her twin sister’s disappearance. She plans to attend her grandfather’s funeral, settle his estate and get out, but the secrets of her dark past in Amhurst are about to be resurrected. And now Rebecca finds herself caught in a nightmare she and her family may not survive in this horror film directed by filmmaker Rocky Costanzo (Hallowed). Amhurst was described as “Genuinely Creepy Viewing” from Entertainment Insiders.
Sounds good eh? So far reception from private screenings (in the past two years) have been fairly good. Actually, it’s been really good for something labeled “DVD exclusive”. Is it worth twenty-something bucks? We’ll find out as the month of scares quickly approaches. Check out some of the stills below.
AMHURST comes out on DVD October 19th, 2010.
How about a little bit of Julianna Guill? Any takers?
