New horror flick Elimination might as well be Slashers remake

What ever happened to ingenuity and creativity? Honestly. There’s a new film in the works from visual FX master Juan Carlos Vargas. Now I wouldn’t call it new but it’s what’s on then interwebs so just bare with me. Wanna know the skinny?

The film is called ELIMINATION and it basically follows ten actors who audition for a reality show that will score them a million dollars. All they have to do is survive three killers, and each other. The while thing is streamed live over the Internet. 

Now is it just me or does this sound a lot like SLASHERS? I mean read the synopsis yourself and I’ll let you be the judge: Japan’s number one extreme reality show is having it’s first all-American special! Six lucky contestants, chosen from thousands of applicants, will have the chance to win millions of dollars, and all they have to do is stay alive!

“All they have to do” eh? The “new” flick sounds so close to SLASHERS that it might as well be a remake. The film also stars Danny Vasquez (THE LAST RESORT), Nicole Warner, Meredith Grau and Daniel Fanaberia 

Juan Carlos Vargas has worked on the FX team for SHOOT ‘EM UP and FREDDY VS. JASON so the man knows his props. Will there be unrealistic amounts of blood spewing from our victims? You’re damn sure there will be! The man has also directed a short film simply titled MAN VS. WOMAN. The short film revolves around a man, a woman, a cloned velociraptor and a heavily armed robot fighting for survival. And that was your what the f*ck concept of the day.
