It’s been a long, long time since we last heard word on Marty Thomas’ KILLER HOLIDAY, last updating you on this little indie film back in August of 2010. In the two and a half years since that update the film has seen its fair share of publicity (check out Entertainment Tonight Canada’s set visit video HERE) as well as playing a handful of festivals, but word on a release date for the film was hard to come by. That all changes today as we have word that the Michael Copon-starring flick has just scored distribution via Grindstone Entertainment and will see a release this November through Lionsgate. Very nice! Check out the synopsis for KILLER HOLIDAY below:
Taylor, a former juvenile delinquent, convinces straight-‘A’ student, Cammi to join her and her friends on a Spring Break road trip through the California desert. Ignoring evil premonitions from Cammi, the 8 friends party heavily as they get farther and farther away from civilization along old Route 66 with a killer in pursuit. Anxiety builds as each stop along the way proves stranger and stranger until the group is lured to an abandoned amusement park with a mysterious past far off the main highway. There the group discovers that the park comes complete with broken down vintage carnival rides, shocking surprises, the smell of death, and an enticing, young tattooed serial killer named Spider.
KILLER HOLIDAY stars Michael Copon, Rachel Lara, Julia Beth Stern, Alex Mandel (son of stand-up comic Howie Mandel), Noah Gibbings, Matt Calloway, Gabe Olivera, David Namminga, Randolph Mantooth, Rich Hoag and Sydney Rae Shalhoob.
