Weird faces populate the set of Jupiter Ascending

The Wachowski siblings’ next ambitious sci-fi romp, JUPITER ASCENDING, is currently shooting in London, with an eye toward releasing next summer. The first images from the set have arrived (via Collider)showing off some of the strange visages of the future. Not quite sure what’s up with these fellows, but you’ve got to admit: the Wachowskis always have something unique in mind when it comes to outfitting their characters.

Starring Channing Tatum, Mila Kunis, Sean Bean, Eddie Redmayne, James D’Arcy and Doona Bae, JUPITER ASCENDING has the following plot synopsis:

Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis) was born under a night sky, with signs predicting that she was destined for great things. Now grown, Jupiter dreams of the stars but wakes up to the cold reality of a job cleaning toilets and an endless run of bad breaks. Only when Caine (Channing Tatum), a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, arrives on Earth to track her down does Jupiter begin to glimpse the fate that has been waiting for her all along – her genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos.
