Six new character posters from Edgar Wright’s The World’s End

If annihilation is imminent, we might as well go out wasted!

We've already seen some pretty fun stuff thrown our way to promote THE WORLD'S END, the final installment of the Cornetto Trilogy AKA The Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy that all started with SHAUN OF THE DEAD and HOT FUZZ. We've seen quad posters, UK and US posters, trailers and more, and with each new promotional piece we see, the more stoked we get to see this crazy-looking flick. Today we have six new character posters showing the principal cast of pub-crawlers in all their glory, courtesy Empire. Check 'em out below.

In The World's End, 20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hellbent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King (Simon Pegg), a 40-year-old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their hometown and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub – The World's End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realise the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind's. Reaching The World's End is the least of their worries.

THE WOLRD'S END stars Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Martin Freman, Paddy Considine, Eddie Marsan and Rosamund Pike. It opens in the UK on July 19th and in the US on August 23rd.
