Magnolia Pictures picks up Grand Piano, starring Elijah Wood

Great news folks! Magnolia Pictures just announced that they have acquired US rights to the Elijah Wood starring thriller, GRAND PIANO. This news comes in just days after we hooked you guys up with the first trailer, check it out HERE! Elijah Wood is tearing through the horror genre right now and we couldn't be happier. He was pretty crafty with a knife in MANIAC, now let's see how he does behind a piano!

The story concerns a once-great concert pianist who suffers from stage fright and comes back to perform after a five-year hiatus. Just when he's about to play the first bar, he notices somebody has written a threatening note on his music sheet. He's now forced to play his best concert ever to save his life as well as his wife's.

So when will you be able to get your eyes on the upcoming Eugenio Mira-helmed thriller? Magnet hasn't released a solid date just yet but they are planning a release sometime in 2014. Produced by Adrián Guerra and BURIED director Rodrigo Cortés, the film will see John Cusack co-star as the villain. More on this one as we get it!
