D.J. Caruso to direct supernatural thriller The Disappoinments Room; Kate Beckinsale expected to star

We just got word of an intriguing sounding project coming at us from some heavy hitters that is sure to grab your attention.

D.J. Caruso,the director behind the hit Shia LaBeouf thrillers DISTURBIA and EAGLE EYE, has signed on to direct THE DISAPPOINTMENTS ROOM, a supernatural thriller being produced by Geyer Kosinski of Media Talent Group, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Written by "Prison Break" star and STOKER screenwriter Wentworth Miller, THE DISAPPOINTMENTS ROOM will be seeking sales at AFM with Foresight handling sales and Envision financing. According to THR Relativity is in final negotiations to pick up domestic distribution.

As if Caruso and Miller's involvement wasn't enough to pique your interest it is being reported that UNDERWORLD star Kate Beckinsale has been offered the lead role in THE DISAPPOINTMENTS ROOM, expected to play the role of…

…a mother who moves her family to a nice Colonial manse in the country. The woman slowly begins to lose her sanity as she learns of the home’s bloody past and is afflicted by visions of a dead girl.
