When we last wrote about the Forest Whitaker-Anthony Mackie thriller REPENTANCE, it was summer 2011 and the flick was called VIPAKA. Obviously it has taken over two years for us to learn more about it, but now a trailer has crept online. Flick seems to have some nice atmosphere, and showcases Whitaker going full-on psycho as an troubled man who sees ghosts and kidnaps his life coach.
Directed by Philippe Caland, REPENTANCE follows:
… a severely disturbed contractor (Whitaker) who seeks help from a life coach (Mackie). What begins as an honest therapy session becomes a twisted and dangerous psychological game when he abducts the life coach and uses his spiritual messages to terrorize him and his family.
REPENTANCE also stars Sanaa Lathan, Mike Epps and Nicole Ari Parker. It opens on February 28th.
