Yesterday we brought you the first trailer for Doug Liman's EDGE OF TOMORROW, a Tom Cruise-starring action/sci-fi thriller that looks to be a bit of a mash-up between SOURCE CODE, GROUNDHOG'S DAY, DISTRICT 9 and perhaps a half dozen other films, but still looks unique and badass enough to warrant your attention. Now we have the first theatrical one-sheet for the film formerly known as ALL YOU NEED IS KILL that invites you to Live..Die…and Repeat. I prefer the first option, please.
Lt. Col. Bill Cage (Cruise) is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to little more than a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop—forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again…and again. But with each battle, Cage becomes able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Emily Blunt). And, as Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, each repeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy.
EDGE OF TOMORROW also stars Emily Blunt, Bill Paxton, Charlotte Riley and Jeremy Piven. It opens June 6, 2014.
