The Oscars are no match for Jordan Rubin’s Zombeavers

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Jordan Rubin's ZOMBEAVERS is looking to get in on some Academy Award action as the film has conjured up three brilliant posters that take a bite out of a few of this year's top nominees. The large undead rodent bares its fangs on posters for GRAVITY, AMERICAN HUSTLE and the phone sex sensation of the year HER.

"To me it’s all about doing it straight,” Rubin tells THR about the film, assuring fans it’s not the next SHARKNADO. “It’s a serious situation. It’s pure horror. Playing to the reality is so funny.” Seriously, you gotta love this guy. Honestly, the film does look clownshit ridiculous but that's all part of its charm—what would the horror genre be without the occasional ZOMBEAVERS anyway? And the fact that it takes itself seriously just makes it that much better.

ZOMBEAVERS is an action-packed horror/comedy in which a group of college kids staying at a riverside cabin are menaced by a swarm of deadly zombie beavers. A weekend of sex and debauchery soon turns gruesome as the beavers close in on the kids. Riding the line between scary, sexy and funny, the kids are soon fighting for their lives in a desperate attempt to fend off the hoard of beavers that attack them in and around their cabin.

SILENT NIGHT's Cortney Palm stars alongside Rachel Melvin, Hutch Dano and Jake Weary. Take a look at the posters below!
