Trailer & artwork for Uwe Boll’s Rampage: Capital Punishment

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

At the beginning of the year we shared the news that director Uwe Boll was working on a sequel to his 2009 film RAMPAGE, a nasty little flick that actually garnered Boll some of his best reviews to date. You read that right: Uwe Boll made a good movie. Hell, even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then, so I suppose Boll had at least one good film in him.

To be honest I actually dug RAMPAGE a lot, thanks in no small part to star Brendan Fletcher's performance as an unhinged man who constructs a body armor suit and goes on the titular killing spree, but I never felt a sequel was warranted. But that's exactly what we're getting with RAMPAGE: CAPITAL PUNISHMENT, and today we have the trailer and artwork, as well as word as to when you can expect it to hit DVD and VOD, below.

Phase 4 Films has announced the release of RAMPAGE: CAPITAL PUNISHMENT on DVD/VOD. The sequel to Uwe Boll’s best-reviewed film launches August 19 in the U.S. and October 21 in Canada. Brendan Fletcher (FREDDY VS. JASON), Lochlyn Munro (ASSAULT ON WALL STREET) and Mike Dopud ("Smallville", "SGU Stargate Universe") star.

Violent anti-hero Bill Williamson has a plan to change the world by exacting vengeance on the rich and ripping Washington apart. He holds a number of people hostage and uses his captives as his political platform to spread his message and awaken humanity.  It's time to destroy the system and change won't happen peacefully.

Check out the trailer and artwork below, and watch for RAMPAGE: CAPITAL PUNISHMENT on DVD and VOD on August 19 in the U.S. and October 21 in Canada.
