We've been seeing several clips from Matt Reeves' upcoming DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES lately, with the most recent showing the perils of pissing off Koba, who makes short work of some pesky humans. Today we have a clip showing the lighter side of our simian friends, showing a touching moment between Kodi Smit-McPhee's character and Maurice the orangutan. I imagine these moments of peace between humans and apes are too few and far between as it seems a certainty that war is coming, and you don't wanna be on these apes bad side. Peep the latest clip below.
A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth's dominant species.
DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES opens July 11th.
