Oh, Scream Factory…you're just too good to us!
The folks at our favorite curator and home entertainment provider of many memorable cult movie classics took to their Facebook page to share that we can start packing for camp as next summer they will be bringing us Blu-ray Collector's Editions of both SLEEPAWAY II: UNHAPPY CAMPERS & SLEEPAWAY CAMP III: TEENAGE WASTELAND. Both films were requested heavily after Scream Factory released the original film this past May.
No details to report at this time on extras, transfers, artwork, etc. but we'll keep you posted.
Michael A. Simpson directs 1988's SLEEPAWAY CAMP II: UNHAPPY CAMPERS, which concerns…
Angela Baker has undergone years of therapy, electro-shock and sexual reassignment surgeries, and finally landed herself a job in the last place she should be working – Camp Rolling Hills. She has an old fashioned approach as to how camp should be, and an old familiar deadly way of making sure that those who don't follow her rules don't get to come back next summer.
Simpson returns for 1989's SLEEPAWAY CAMP III: TEENAGE WASTELAND, which finds…
Psychotic Angela (Pamela Springsteen) is itching to do what she does best: slaughter dozens of teenage campers. As luck would have it, the previous site of her murders has been renamed and converted into an experimental summer camp meant to bring together privileged and lower-class teens. On the day the youths are boarding the buses to camp, Angela runs over a potential camper with a garbage truck and assumes her identity. Once she has infiltrated the camp, the real terror begins.
Truth be told, I can't remember much from either of these films as it's been many, many years since I've seen them, but I'm eager to revisit them on Blu-ray next summer when Angela returns to Scream Factory.
