WOLF CREEK’s Mick Taylor is going to bring his special brand of mayhem to the small screen as the Daily Mail reports that a six-part mini-series is in the works to continue the terrifying tale of WOLF CREEK. The series will premiere on the new Australian VOD service Stan, and they’re bringing the big guns with them as the face behind it all, John Jarratt, will be back to reprise his role as the iconic villain along with Greg McLean, who will develop the new series. And sold!
Not much is known about the project just yet, but it’s being reported that the series will pick up right where we left off with the second film. The horror film franchise tells the story of psychopath serial killer Mick Taylor who prays on tourists in the Australian outback.
"Wolf Creek and the character of Mick Taylor have become household names, and the opportunity to tell a rich and complex story in his world in a high-quality drama series is a thrilling creative opportunity,” Emu Creek Pictures CEO McLean said.
The former Underbelly team of writers Felicity Packard, writer and producer Peter Gawler, and executive producer Greg Haddrick are also attached to the project. The series is being produced by Screentime and Emu Creek Pictures.
