Vertical gets distribution rights to He Never Died, starring Henry Rollins

Vertical Entertainment, the company behind the theatrical releases of such films as TORMENT, HOME SWEET HELL, and PREDESTINATION, has picked up the worldwide distribution rights to writer/director Jason Krawczyk's HE NEVER DIED, starring jack of all trades Henry Rollins.

Rollins plays a role Krawczyk created with him in mind,

Jack, a long-lived immortal who subsists on human flesh and avoids all emotional entanglements, as he either tends to outlive his friends or eat them. Jack is forced to confront his past when he meets the daughter he never knew he had, and must walk a tight rope of sobriety while trying to eat as few people as possible in a violent tale of personal responsibility.

The supporting cast is filled out by Steven Ogg, Kate Greenhouse, BooBoo Stewart, and Jordan Todosey. Zach Hagen and Adam J. Shully produced.

Vertical hasn't set a release date for HE NEVER DIED yet, but we'll let you know when they do. In the meantime, Krawczyk and Rollins are planning to continue the story of Jack with an eight episode mini-series.

I was sold on HE NEVER DIED as soon as I heard "horror movie starring Henry Rollins", regardless of what it would be about. The fact that he's playing an immortal who's bored of life and has the ability to heal from seemingly any wound, even something as devastating as being shot in the head, makes this one all the more intriguing. Plus, that first clip is really cool.
