Watch a new promo for MTV’s Scream

MTV’s Scream is nearly here, premiering on June 30th, so today is as good as any to show you guys the latest promo, which you can watch below! While nothing about this series looks appealing to me (not a fan of the franchise), I hope that it can not only find a new audience but appeal to fans of the movies, too—in other words, please don't suck.

What starts as a YouTube video going viral, soon leads to problems for the teenagers of Lakewood and serves as the catalyst for a murder that opens up a window to the town's troubled past. Everyone has secrets. Everyone tells lies. Everyone is fair game.

Scream stars Willa Fitzgerald, Bex Taylor-Klaus, Carlson Young, John Karna, Bobby Campo, Tracy Middendorf and Bella Thorne, it will premiere on MTV on June 30th.
