PARANORMAL ACTIVITY: THE GHOST DIMENSION got a brand new poster today, however the real section of interest isn't the image (which we've seen before), but the tagline. It reads "For the first time you will see the activity," which is a little mystifying considering that it's the sixth and final entry in a long-running franchise. It's most likely a reference to this quote from Jason Blum:
All the questions that everyone has asked from the past PARANORMAL ACTIVITY films: What does Toby look like? What's the backstory to the families? These questions have been teased out. Now they will be answered.
However, the real question is this. Do we actually need to see Toby? We've done just fine without him for five films, and whatever we're imagining is almost certainly more frightening than whatever horny CGI gargoyle is inevitably going to be tossed at us in the final frame. Regardless, I'm interested in seeing how this film attempts to put a pin in the massive mythology that the previous films have spilled out thus far, but it seems a little unnecessary to definitely answer every single question ever posed by a popcorn-munching teenager. It's a horror film, not an encyclopedia.

THE GHOST DIMENSION, directed by Gregory Plotkin, follows a new family, the Fleeges — father Ryan (Chris J. Murray), mother Emily (Brit Shaw) and their young daughter Leila (Ivy George) — who move into a house and discover a video camera and a box of tapes in the garage.
When they look through the camera's lens, they begin to see the paranormal activity happening around them — including the re-emergence of young Kristi and Katie.
PARANORMAL ACTIVITY: THE GHOST DIMENSION, which also features an encore performance from franchise star Katie Featherston and will be released in 3D, will haunt theaters on October 23rd, 2015 and possess VOD a scant six weeks afterward.
