Scream Queens nets guest star Chad Michael Murray

The premiere of the horror/comedy TV series SCREAM QUEENS is less than a week away, the show will be making its debut with a two hour episode on Fox at 8pm EST on Tuesday, September 22, but casting news is continuing to trickle out.

Last week, we learned that Patrick Schwarzenegger will have a role on the show. Now it has been announced that Chad Michael Murray (the 2005 HOUSE OF WAX remake, THE HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT 2: GHOSTS OF GEORGIA) will be making a guest appearance, and his character is connected to Schwarzenegger's.

A recurring character on SCREAM QUEENS is a "fratty d-bag" named Chad Radwell, played by Glen Powell. Schwarzenegger will be playing Chad's younger brother Thad, while Murray will be showing up at their talent agent older brother Brad.

Also in the cast with Powell, Schwarzenegger, and Murray are Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer, Skyler Samuels, Nasim Perdad, Billie Lourde, Oliver Hudson, Diego Boneta, Lucien Laviscount, Ariana Grande, and Nick Jonas.

Season 1 of the show, created by Ian Brennan, Brad Falchuk, and Ryan Murphy, will tell the following story:

Wallace University is rocked by a string of murders. Kappa House, the most sought-after sorority for pledges, is ruled with an iron fist (in a pink glove) by its Queen Bitch, Chanel Oberlin (Emma Roberts). But when anti-Kappa Dean Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis) decrees that sorority pledging must be open to all students, and not just the school’s silver-spooned elite, all hell is about to break loose, as a devil-clad killer begins wreaking havoc, claiming one victim, one episode at a time.

I will be tuning in to SCREAM QUEENS, not so much for the Chad/Thad/Brad characters but to see what that devil-clad killer gets up to (and to watch Jamie Lee Curtis recreate the PSYCHO shower scene). The brothers with rhyming names sound like guys we'll be hoping to see get knocked off, and I say the more fodder provided for the slasher, the better.
