Fear the Walking Dead season one hits Blu-Ray in a gruesome special edition

Fear the Walking Dead Season 1 will be hitting the shelves yet again in a ravenous special edition on Blu-Ray and DVD from Anchor Bay Entertainment. The two-disc set, which drops on March 22, 2016, contains seven deleted scenes and audio commentaries for each of the six episodes, as well as a whole sheaf of extras. Here's the deets:

Honestly, that's a pretty good set for such a short season. I can only imagine how huge the Season 2 set will be if it gets the same record-shattering numbers as the first. If you're infected with zombie fever, you might just want to check this one out.

Living in the same universe as “The Walking Dead”, “Fear the Walking Dead” is a gritty drama that explores the onset of the undead apocalypse through the lens of a fractured family. Set in Los Angeles, a city where people come to escape, shield secrets, and bury their pasts, a mysterious outbreak threatens to disrupt what little stability high school guidance counselor Madison Clark and English teacher Travis Manawa have managed to assemble.

The everyday pressure of blending two families while dealing with resentful, escapist, and strung out children takes a back seat when society begins to break down. A forced evolution, a necessary survival of the fittest takes hold, and the dysfunctional family must either reinvent themselves or embrace their darker histories.
