The Witch is getting a nationwide re-release this Friday

Have you seen Robert Eggers' THE WITCH yet? The film seemed to be rather divisive, with it receiving some very high praise and good reviews (The Arrow gave it a 7/10 review, while Eric Walkuski gave it a 9/10), but the reception from the general audience was a bit chillier. If you're interested in THE WITCH and haven't been able to make it to the theatre to see it yet, or if you have seen it and loved it so much that you want to see it again, you're in luck.

With the new trailer embedded below, A24 has announced that they will be giving THE WITCH a nationwide re-release in the U.S. beginning this Friday, April 1st.

A24 stresses that this re-release is for a limited time, so don't dally, do your best to get out to the theatre this weekend to catch it.

The film's synopsis: 

New England, 1630. Upon threat of banishment by the church, an English farmer leaves his colonial plantation, relocating his wife and five children to a remote plot of land on the edge of an ominous forest – within which lurks an unknown evil. Strange and unsettling things begin to happen almost immediately – animals turn malevolent, crops fail, and one child disappears as another becomes seemingly possessed by an evil spirit. With suspicion and paranoia mounting, family members accuse teenage daughter Thomasin of witchcraft, charges she adamantly denies. As circumstances grow more treacherous, each family member's faith, loyalty and love become tested in shocking and unforgettable ways.
