Independence Day Resurgence gets a monster extended trailer

Is anybody actually excited for INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE? I definitely know some people who are going to see it, but more out of a sense of obligation than anything. I assume there's a huge pocket of fandom somewhere, but they're keeping their mouths shut until the release.

In the case that one of you is reading this, here's a present: The film has a brand spanking new extended trailer which clocks in at around five minutes. That's roughly three percent of the entire movie right there at a click of your mouse. Check it out below!

Directed by Roland Emmerich, who also worked on the screenplay with Dean Devlin, James Vanderbilt, James A. Woods, and Nicolas Wright, this sequel twenty years in the making has the following synopsis: 

We always knew they were coming back.  After INDEPENDENCE DAY redefined the event movie genre, the next epic chapter delivers global spectacle on an unimaginable scale.  Using recovered alien technology, the nations of Earth have collaborated on an immense defense program to protect the planet.  But nothing can prepare us for the aliens' advanced and unprecedented force.  Only the ingenuity of a few brave men and women can bring our world back from the brink of extinction.

The cast includes Liam Hemsworth, Jeff Golblum, Bill Pullman, Vivica A. Fox, Judd Hirsch, Brent Spiner, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Joey King, Maika Monroe, DeObia Oparei, and Jessie Usher.
