A NSFW trailer featuring full nudity of both men and women has arrived online for writer/director Anna Biller's erotic horror/comedy THE LOVE WITCH, a film that is described as being "a badass testament to independent women".
Starring Samantha Robinson, Gian Keys, Laura Waddell, Jeffrey Vincent Parise, Jared Sanford, Robert Seeley, and Jennifer Ingrum, THE LOVE WITCH centers on
Elaine, a beautiful young witch determined to find a man to adore her. In her Gothic Victorian apartment, she makes spells and potions, and then picks up men and seduces them. However, her spells work too well, and she ends up with a string of hapless victims. When she finally meets the guy of her dreams, her desperation to be loved will drive her to the brink of insanity and murder.
In addition to writing, directing, and producing, Biller also designed the sets and costumes as part of her attempt to capture the look and style of the Technicolor thrillers of the 1960s. After watching the trailer, I have to say that she and cinematographer M. David Mullen, who shot the movie on 35mm film, have done an incredible job. This really does look like something straight out of the '60s.
