The tables are turned on John Jarratt in his directorial debut StalkHer

StalkHer John Jarratt Kaarin Fairfax

John Jarratt tied up and tormented several people over the course of WOLF CREEK, WOLF CREEK 2, and the Wolf Creek mini-series, and at first his directorial debut STALKHER, which he co-directed with his co-star Kaarin Fairfax (also making her directorial debut), appears to have him playing another creep, a man who stalks a co-worker. But he has met his match in the character played by Fairfax, the tables are turned and this time he's the one who ends up tied to a chair.

Written by Kris Maric, STALKHER tells the following story:

Jack is pushed past the brink of his stalking obsession when he decides to break into Emily's home to take what he wants by force. However, his plans for her pain and his pleasure come unhinged when he wakes up to find himself bleeding and bound to a chair in her kitchen. For one night Jack and Emily engage in a twisted and thrilling courtship of the sexes that leads one to wonder which one of them will survive the night.

Cleopatra Films will be releasing the "inappropriate, funny, romantic" STALKHER on VOD on October 21st, and a trailer has arrived online to give us a preview of Jack and Emily's twisted little love story.

One element of the film that is being pushed in the marketing is its "kickass soundtrack", which includes music by Nick Cave, Skyhooks, Sarah Blasko, Human Nature, The Angels, Split Enz, The Go-Betweens, Mozart, Vika & Linda Bull, Memphis & Maddy Kelly, Jarratt himself, and more. I look forward to hearing this soundtrack when I check out STALKHER, which looks like some dark comedy fun.
