The European Film Market is set to be held in Berlin over the next week, and one of the films Kew Media will be presenting to potential buyers there is director Roxy Shih's thriller PAINKILLERS.
Currently in post-production, PAINKILLERS stars Adam Huss as
a brilliant surgeon who is struggling to come to terms with the death of his son. With his life disintegrating, he discovers that the only thing that can ease his pain is the taste of human blood.
Huss's co-stars include Madeline Zima (pictured above on Twin Peaks), Mischa Barton, Grant Bowler, and Debra Wilson.
The screenplay was written by Giles Daoust, who also produced the film with Luke Barnett and Vincent Masciale.
That simple synopsis and the cast are enough to get me interested in PAINKILLERS. Here's hoping the film will have some success at the EFM so we can start hearing about release dates and strategies.
