Return of the Living Dead Part II finally hits Blu-ray this Summer!

Nice. It looks like Scream Factory is finally going to be releasing Ken Wiederhorn's "love it or hate it" zombie-comedy classic RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD PART II on Blu-ray this August. The release will be branded as a “Collector’s Edition” that will come with a slipcover (guaranteed for three months after its original release date).

It also comes with newly-commissioned artwork from Graham Humphreys (who also illustrated Scream Factory's original ROTLD cover back in 2016). This art will be front-facing and the reverse side of the wrap will the original theatrical poster design.

Special features are still in progress and will be announced later in early July. However, we can confirm today that this release will be doing a brand-new HD film transfer and will be correcting the soundtrack issues that were present on the previous DVD release.

Synopsis:

Curious kids unearth the barrels that helped revive the dead of the first film, which proves the second time's an undead charm.

The film is written and directed by Ken Wiederhorn and stars James Karen, Thom Mathews, Dana Ashbrook, Marsha Dietlein, Phil Bruns, and Michael Kenworthy. The national street date is planned for August 14th.
