The working relationship established between Paramount Pictures and J.J. Abrams' production company Bad Robot is set to continue with a new sci-fi thriller project titled APORIA.
I had to look this one up in the dictionary: the word "aporia" means "an irresolvable internal contradiction or logical disjunction in a text, argument, or theory", and "the expression of doubt". With a title like that, some people are going to express doubt that this is anything other than another CLOVERFIELD project. (That's THE CLOVERFIELD PARADOX pictured above.)
APORIA began as a spec script written by Jared Moshe, who is also attached to direct the film. Moshe's previous two films – DEAD MAN'S BURDEN and THE BALLAD OF LEFTY BROWN – were both Westerns.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but APORIA is said to be
a grounded sci-fi drama with time-travel elements.
That doesn't provide much to go on, but I'm always open to seeing a good time travel movie.
Bad Robot will be producing the film with Neda Armian.
