Two months ago, 3 FROM HELL writer/director Rob Zombie announced that he would be sharing a series of five character posters for the sequel to HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES and THE DEVIL'S REJECTS on his social media accounts. Over the last two months, he has already released five character posters – the first featured Bill Moseley as his CORPSES/REJECTS character Otis; the second had Danny Trejo as his REJECTS character Rondo; the third gave us a look at Sid Haig, reprising his CORPSES/REJECTS role of Captain Spaulding; the fourth showed us Emilio Rivera as a new character we don't even know the name of yet; and the fifth brought us a look at Richard Brake's character Winslow Foxworth "Foxy" Coltrane.
You might have noticed that the third character who makes up the titular 3 FROM HELL with Otis and Captain Spaulding didn't receive her own poster, which was kind of shocking… But as it turns out, the initial five count was incorrect. There are actually six character posters for 3 FROM HELL, and that third character did finally receive her own poster.
Yesterday Zombie took to his Instagram account to share the poster featuring his wife Sheri Moon Zombie as her CORPSES/REJECTS character Baby. As the filmmaker/musician put it, he "saved the best for last".
An official synopsis for 3 FROM HELL has yet to be released, but the film appears to show us that Otis, Spaulding, and Baby survived the shootout at the end of THE DEVIL'S REJECTS and have been spending some time in prison since.
In the cast with Moseley, Haig, Moon Zombie, Trejo, Rivera, and Brake are David Ury, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Dee Wallace, Pancho Moler, Austin Stoker, Tom Papa, Dot-Marie Jones, Richard Edson, Richard Riehle, Kevin Jackson, Billy Blair, Steven Michael Quezada, Bill Oberst Jr., Sylvia Jefferies, Sean Whalen, Clint Howard, and Daniel Roebuck (who is reprising a role he played in THE DEVIL'S REJECTS).
Zombie is currently on tour with Marilyn Manson, so he won't be able to start editing 3 FROM HELL until next month. The film is expected to receive a 2019 release.
