Production is currently underway on the CBS All Access revival of the classic anthology series The Twilight Zone, with GET OUT writer/director Jordan Peele taking over the host / narrator role originally filled by Twilight Zone creator Rod Serling. The first season of this new Twilight Zone is set to consist of ten episodes, and we know a little bit about three of them.
While it hasn't been confirmed which episode Kumail Nanjiani will be appearing in, Sanaa Lathan will be starring in an episode titled Rewind, and Adam Scott is filling in for William Shatner and John Lithgow in a remake of the classic tale Nightmare at 20,000 Feet – now titled Nightmare at 30,000 Feet.
Word has also come out, via ThatHashtagShow, that the third episode of the season is tentatively titled Kid President, and roles in the episode have been offered to THE PREDATOR's Jacob Tremblay and Riz Ahmed of VENOM and ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY.
Tremblay would play the kid president, while Ahmed would play his campaign manager.
If Tremblay and Ahmed accepted the offers, they should be on set right now, because the Kid President episode was scheduled to be filmed from November 16th through December 3rd in Vancouver.
The Twilight Zone is being produced by CBS Television Studios, in association with Monkeypaw Productions and Genre Films. Peele, Simon Kinberg, Marco Ramirez, Win Rosenfeld, and Audrey Chon are the executive producers.
