On this week's episode, we take on director Ruben Fleischer's VENOM starring Tom Hardy, Riz Ahmed, Michelle Williams, and Jenny Slate. Jeff Pinkner, Scott Rosenberg, and Kelly Marcel penned the script based on the Marvel character created by David Michelinie and Todd McFarlane.

As if you didn't already know, the film centers on

Journalist Eddie Brock is trying to take down Carlton Drake, the notorious and brilliant founder of the Life Foundation. While investigating one of Drake's experiments, Eddie's body merges with the alien Venom — leaving him with superhuman strength and power. Twisted, dark and fueled by rage, Venom tries to control the new and dangerous abilities that Eddie finds so intoxicating.

VENOM is directed by Ruben Fleischer (ZOMBIELAND) and features Tom Hardy (THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, MAD MAX: FURY ROAD), Michelle Williams (SPECIES), Riz Ahmed (ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY), Jenny Slate (HOTEL ARTEMIS), and Woody Harrelson (ZOMBIELAND, NATURAL BORN KILLERS). Jeff Pinkner & Scott Rosenberg and Kelly Marcel wrote the script, Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, and Amy Pascal produced.
