Tirian from over at “Narnia Web” recently alerted us to the news that Italian actor-director Sergio Castellitto has recently been cast as the villanous King Miraz in the upcoming fantasy adventure THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: PRINCE CASPIAN. I’m not too familiar with his work but Tirian and his peeps inform us that he’s won three David di Donatello Awards in his native Italy and has been nominated an additional four times. In the story, Miraz is the uncle of the film’s titular prince and is hellbent on preventing Caspian from taking his rightful place as king of Narnia. Which is where the Pevensie children once again come in. In the meantime, enjoy some of Castellitto’s voice work in Luc Besson’s upcoming animated adventure ARTHUR AND THE INVISBLES. PRINCE CASPIAN is scheduled for release May 16th, 2008.
