Recently-diagnosed Lymphoma-afflicted Desperate Housewife Felicity Huffman has joined Patricia Clarkson, Bill Pullman and Elle Fanning in Daniel Barnz’ (who wrote Jodie Foster’s upcoming directorial effort SUGARLAND) directorial debut, PHOEBE IN WONDERLAND. The film, of which Barnz also wrote the script, centers on a precocious young girl (Fanning) whose frustration with the rules imposed on her by her nagging mother and assorted authority figures prompts her to seek the advice of her quirky drama teacher (Clarkson). Young Elle hopes to garner an Oscar nomination to show the world that that goddamn Dakota isn’t the only Fanning with preternatural talent who can outshine multiple Oscar winners. Huffman’s role is unknown at this point but it’s likely she’ll play Fanning’s mother. She was most recently in the dramedy GEORGIA RULE and can currently be seen still getting involved in all kinds of shenanigans on the aforementioned “Desperate Housewives”.
