Cinematical has been pumping out all kinds of good stuff from Michael Moore’s upcoming SICKO, his scathing critique of the United States health care system, and today they continue that streak by debuting the right-pictured new poster. If there’s one word that comes to mind when looking at it, it’s…subtle. He’s clearly going for something bleak with the use of the skeletons but what exactly he’s trying to imply remains frustratingly vague. It’s almost as if he’s conveying the idea that there’s something wrong with the health care system but the slogan and the general sunny disposition of the skeletons contradict that idea entirely. Why must he tax our minds with such surrealistic, contradictory imagery?!? Let’s just hope the documentary itself isn’t as mystifyingly inscrutable. While we try to decipher the enigma that is this bafflingly cryptic poster, get a better look at it HERE. SICKO opens June 29th.
