DVD Cool News #181

The Latest
Announcements

Fight Club (Steelbook Edition) June 5

All right, first thing’s f*cking last; has anyone heard anything about this? The story this weekend around the JoBlo office was when was this announced and

what the hell’s on it. The previous special edition of FIGHT CLUB is still one of the best, if not the best DVD that I own. It was packed with cool extras

including a commentary by the man himself, Chuck Palahniuk, as well as seperate commentaries by David Fincher, Brad Pitt and Edward Norton. So the question

is, why is this being re-released, and what the hell’s included with it? Sorry, that was two questions. Other than the new “steelbook” packaging, what’s

new? This comes out today, so if anyone wants to go out, grab it, and report back here, there will be a shiny fifty cent piece in it for you.

Update: Apparently, there’s nothing new that you haven’t seen already on the existing collector’s edition. Thanks to DjG in the Strike Back section here for the info.

Blades of Glory August 28

Wow, was I getting tired of Will Ferrell, but the Neil Diamond hair skating around acting a fool with Jon Heder, had me at the trailer. Unfortunately, I

haven’t seen it yet but friends (or friend if you want to be a dick about it) have given me “rave” reviews. How hot was Will Ferrell making out with

Sascha Baron Cohen? Growl.
