Hot Rod – November 27

This week’s releases all have something in common, and once you figure that out, let me know. HOT ROD looked decent enough, but didn’t deliver for me. The only thing that entertained me is a contest put on by the Opie and Anthony show to promote the flick, included putting ICY HOT on the ball sack of some poor saps. Mmm, ICY HOT.

I’m still on the fence with this movie. On the one side, there were parts of this movie that I really enjoyed. On the other, Nic Cage really bugs me. But on the one side, he was fan-f*cking-tastic in WILD at HEART. On the other, there’s GHOST RIDER. Yeck. I’m a wreck.

Rescue Dawn – November 20

This actually looks pretty interesting and I had no clue of its release. If you’ve seen it, let me know what you’ve thought of it. Christian Bale stars as a POW in a Vietnamese prison camp and it’s based on a true story. And it’s directed by Werner Herzog. I love Bale, I love Herzog and I love war. I’m there.
