Jaden stands still

Yesterday it was the new RAMBO clips we presented, and today comes word that the biggest movie star in the world’s son has been cast alongside Jennifer Connelly and Keanu Reeves in the sci-fi remake of THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL. Jaden Smith, the cuddly son of Will and Jada will be playing the stepson to Connelly’s scientist character. Keanu Reeves will be playing Klaatu, the alien that comes to Earth with a giant robot to learn about it and spread a mysterious message.

Apparently Connelly and her son become personally involved in Klaatu’s mission and see the true consequences of his declared friendship with Earth. It took Will like 30 years to star in an alien invasion movie, and his boy is doing it before puberty. So if logic follows, by the time he’s 30, Jaden should be more popular than coke, both kinds. The flick opens next December.
